Our vineyard name derives from our location, known to locals as Indian Valley because of the Indian Valley Road that traverses the length of this narrow valley beginning at the San Luis Obispo/Monterey County line, running due North 15 miles. Our vineyards are located 5 miles from the county line in Monterey County.
The seasonal Big Sandy Creek flows much the length of the valley emptying into the Salinas River at the south end of the valley. Indian Valley Road is the beginning of a very scenic continuous single road system running north for 100 miles ending in Hollister. Much of this 100 mile road follows the San Andreas Fault line.
Our name also reflects owner Ron Harris' heritage, who's family past has been traced to Native American persons generations before him.
